In late May, Australian Mangoes and NTDAF hosted a two-day event in Katherine and Darwin, featuring field walks and exploration of the latest developments in mango research.

The first day featured an R&D workshop at the Katherine Research Station, covering various topics such as strategies to reduce fruit drop and the use of genomics to improve flowering. Attendees also toured current research trials at the station.

The second day included field walks at commercial orchards in Berry Springs, focusing on Integrated Pest Management and the management of Mango Twig Tip Dieback. Participants also heard from BioScout on its AI-powered technology for monitoring airborne microorganisms in orchards.

Australian Mangoes would like to thank NTDAF's Entomology and Plant Industries teams for leading the field activities and sharing their expertise, as well as the Katherine Research Station staff for hosting and supporting the event.
