Expecting to pick around 30 million Delite mandarins this season.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Australia’s Number 1 Mandarin brand ‘Delite’.

Tania Chapman – GM of Nutrano Produce Group farming operation said, “This is a fantastic achievement for our passionate growers and recognition of every team member who has contributed to the success of the Delite Mandarin brand and grower program over the years.”

Formed in 2009, Delite Growers Association is a collaboration of expert citrus growers who pioneered the seedless mandarin category with the Delite mandarin program. Delite is a premium seedless mandarin grown and underpinned by strict quality criteria to ensure it consistently delivers consumers a fantastic eating experience that's sweet, juicy, easy to peel and most importantly, seedless.

Nutrano Produce Group and Delite Growers Association are expecting a bumper crop this season.

“This year we are expecting to pick around 30 million pieces of fruit across our grower network. Last year’s hail event on our first to market farm was devastating. Following a big clean up from our farm team and heavy pruning to rejuvenate growth, this season will see a recovery crop from this farm.” Says Ms Chapman.

“Our WA-grown Delite program continues to go from strength to strength with more trees coming into production this season to support a 100% WA grown Delite program for shoppers in Western Australia.”

Early August will see the launch of the Delite marketing campaign to support the 10th anniversary of Delite, with a focus on winning snacking occasions and support the growing demand from Aussie consumers looking for healthy options to fuel their busy daily lives.

Michael Ladewig – EGM of sales and marketing is excited about this year’s Delite season. “The marketing campaign created is huge with a suite of above the line and below the line communication assets that will be impossible for customers to miss ensuring Delite will be the first purchase in the citrus category at Woolworths!”

Delite are also proud sponsors of #PlateForAMate this year. A community awareness campaign now in its third year, raising funds for the Black Dog Institute. This year the focus is on supporting the mental health of farmers, and communities in regional areas devastated by recent natural disasters. With an A-list line up of chefs and Aussie icons cooking a range of mouth-watering dishes using Delite mandarins to support the cause.
