Eurosolids is a Dutch producer of specialty fertiliser solutions for fertigation and foliar application. It distributes its products in more than 100 countries. To do that, it has subsidiaries all over the world. In all markets it has local agronomic know-how to understand the local situations.

Eurosolids belongs to a group of companies which produces the full spectrum of fertilisers, from straights and water soluble NPKs to pure biostimulants.

The Eurosolids products are now available in Australia thanks to its exclusive partner, Morellofert.

David Morello, managing director of Morellofert and Eurosolids Australia, says the company has what it takes to help your business grow beyond its current limits.

“Eurosolids is also connected to networks of different expertise. Not only agronomical know-how but also know how about formulation and production and the creation of new products serving sustainable agriculture,” he said.

Better iron efficiency with Euro Fer Triathlon

“Triathlon in our Micronutrients range is a new triple chelated soluble iron available this season for horticulture crops. ‘Euro Fer Triathlon’ is a part of our new Eurosolids range recently launched in Australia,” Mr Morello said.

“Triathlon’s triple-chelate formulation is very efficient in correcting iron chlorosis and iron deficient soils. Euro Fer Triathlon iIron is a highly pure, 50% HBED, 40% EDDHA and 10% DTPA chelated iron fertiliser, which dissolves rapidly and easily. Euro Fer Triathlon is extremely effective solution in correcting iron deficiencies in alkaline calcareous soils.”

Mr Morello said the combination of these three high quality chelating agents gives the iron full protection no matter the condition, and a fast and long-lasting effect. “Our product is dust free and is recommended at initial growth stages.

“Triathlon is micro-granulated with a unique and patented process that increases the contact surface with water while diluting. The result is a highly soluble product.

“EDDHA is UV-sensitive, this means that when EDDHA iron product is met with direct sunlight, it's UV sensitivity can compromise the stability of the product. HBED and DTPA chelated iron is less sensitive for UV-radiation and keeps iron available for the plant even under extreme sunny conditions.”

Plant experimental trials have demonstrated plants' ability to assimilate better than standard Iron chelates. Sam Bowman of Hillston & Nerricon Citrus in New South’s Riverina region said they started fertigating with Triathlon and the visible difference in the colour of the trees was significant.

“Not only was it visibly obvious, but it also lasted so much longer than previously used products. We really had some wet conditions last season, and the temperatures were quite mild, so the climate was typical of demonstrating iron deficiency.

“Last year we really struggled to keep the trees green as they looked pale and chlorotic after rainfall and irrigation. Our applications with EDDHA iron in past haven’t been able to keep us on top of things, so given this season has been cooler and wetter, the Triathlon has done exceptionally better.

“Normally we’d have several fertigations throughout spring to try and alleviate our yellowing, but with Triathlon, we’ve had less application and lower rates and achieved a much better result,” Mr Bowman said.

Morellofert provides the Eurosolids range of products available in Australia, including seaweed products like Euro Vive Pure AA Liquid (high concentrate 100% pure Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed extract with Amino Acids), Euro FolVive Mn Zn, and Euro FolVive B Mo (15% liquid seaweed with complexed trace elements).

“We’ve spent the last couple of years trialling Triathlon, along with the range of seaweed-based liquids, and the results and uptake from growers has been exceptional,” Mr Morello said.

Christian Hubener, Eurosolid’s international agronomist will be assisting Morellofert provide sales and agronomic support across Australia. Mr Hubener carries a wealth of experience working in horticultural crops across Australia over the past decade, as well as across Europe, North and South America, Middle East and Asia for several decades.

Mr Hubener said, “It’s an exciting period, it’s great to be back in the country after travel restrictions and working with these products in Australia.

“The evolution of these products and several others in the system presents some really good opportunities here in Australia. Globally we’ve had a lot of interest, and the results have really demonstrated the products are very effective in viticulture, citrus and nut crops particularly.”
