Conference will be a meeting place for plant breeders and allied scientists.

The 16th Australasian Plant Breeding Conference (APBC) will take place at the QT Hotel, Surfers Paradise, Queensland, 9-11 May 2022.

APBC 2022's program focuses on "Towards 2050", with conference topics across grains, fodder, fruits and nuts, vegetables, forestry and horticulture.

The theme "Towards 2050" captures the long-term nature of plant breeding and the essential role it needs to play to deliver food and prosperity for the world's growing population.

As the first conference since 2014, APBC 2022 will be an important meeting place for current and future plant breeders and allied scientists to come together and share experiences and ideas.

One conference highlight is the Showcase on Monday 9th. The interactive event will shine a spotlight on plant innovations and give everyone a chance to taste-test and get amongst the new plant varieties.
