Cherry Growers Australia has appointed Caleb van Beynen as its biosecurity officer, supporting both the cherry and summerfruit industries.

Caleb brings more than a decade of experience in biosecurity and regulatory assurance, most recently with the Ministry for Primary Industries in New Zealand.

His background includes border assurance, audit and compliance, stakeholder engagement, and working directly with industry to manage and reduce biosecurity risk.

Caleb will play an important role in strengthening biosecurity outcomes across both industries supporting growers through practical, on-ground engagement and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
