In a surprise reveal few saw coming, but has delighted families nationwide, the Australian fruit and vegetable industry has announced it will back The Wiggles celebrating the wildly popular character The Tree of Wisdom.

This includes The Wiggles Tree of Wisdom Arena Spectacular Tour, a forthcoming studio album (out October 3), and two new singles already out.

On the back of the partnership the Australian fruit and vegetable industry is launching a new national campaign called ‘Fruit and Veggies Yummy Yummy’.

Drawing on the power of song, colour and fun, the campaign aims to inspire Aussie children to eat more fruit and vegetables.

It features a playful twist on the iconic Wiggles’ hit ‘Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy’, and will roll out nationwide during the tour, as well as through digital, social and retail channels, concerts and educational resources, reinforcing The Wiggles’ long-standing mission to educate through the joy of music.

The national arena tour begins on November 1 and a performance at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January will be a highlight – and the second gig there for The Wiggles.

The Tree of Wisdom has taken over the internet, with his signature “dance like no-one’s watching” routines going viral on social media, tallying more than 200 million views, and a growing, devoted fanbase which includes Khloé Kardashian and countless other parents around the globe.

The man behind the twirling trunk is Dominic Field, nephew of OG Blue Wiggle Anthony Field.

“People just seem to connect with my character and my dance moves” Dominic says.

“They're the kind of moves everyone grew up with, like the classic sprinkler,” he says.

“I’ve got a new one I call ‘shakin’ the leaves’.

“For some reason, my dancing seems to generate a lot of laughter from both children and grown-ups … I just own it.”

Ahead of the album release, the two new tracks are Nutbush City Limits, a reimaging of Tina Turner’s super hit sung by Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins and The Tree of Wisdom, certain to be the soundtrack for kitchen discos and family boogies; and Rika-Pudy-Fan-Dan-Doogly!, a nonsensical, high-energy original which celebrates rhythm, laughter, and the joy of moving together.
