At Interlink Sprayers, innovation is more than a buzzword –director and design engineer Matthew McWilliams says it’s the foundation of everything we do.

He says as a second-generation sprayer manufacturer, he’s had the opportunity to not just work with his father Peter but “also the privilege of continuing his work”.

“The Interlink Sprayers story began in 1965 when dad built his first spray unit,” Matthew says.

“Fast forward to today, and we’ve delivered more than 3000 purpose-built spray units to growers across Australia – and around the globe,” he says.

Now employing 40 skilled staff , Interlink continues to set the benchmark in both quality and performance.

Matthew says when he started with the business more than 30 years ago, he had a globe trotting role hunting out the industry’s best ideas and inspiration.

But he says it quickly became clear: if they wanted Interlink to be the best, “we would have to build it ourselves”.

“That drive for improvement led us to develop our own technology, tailored precisely to the needs of Australian growers,” Matthew explains.

“And we believe that’s what sets us apart,” he says.

“We design our units from the ground up, working directly with growers in the eld to ensure every machine meets real-world demands.

Interlink continues to set the bar for both quality and performance.

“With advanced design software and a highly skilled engineering team, we can take almost any idea and bring it to life.

“From tower sprayers and multi-fan systems to electrostatic spraying and now autonomous technology – we don’t just follow trends, we create them.”

Matthew says at Interlink Sprayers, being smarter, better, stronger isn’t just a corporate slogan – it’s the minimum standard for the business.

He says a prime example of Interlink innovation has been its work in macadamia orchards.

“When we first tackled this challenge, most machines on the market struggled at speeds of 2-3km/h,” Matthew says.

“Our early designs doubled that, and now we have customers spraying at 10 km/h – and all while improving canopy coverage and reducing rates,” he says.

“That’s the Interlink difference – our units are built to adapt and can handle everything from young plantings to 15-year-oldtrees with a single machine.

“And thanks to on-the-go adjustments, performance is never compromised.

“So, if you’re looking to upgrade, streamline, or simply want to explore what’s possible in your business, our business would love to have that conversation with you.

“At Interlink Sprayers, we’re not just building machines, we’re building solutions which move the industry forward.

“And we will deliver that for your business too.”
